Car Wash was a university final year fundraiser which was used to fund our end of year exhibition. Below is a showcase of some of the best social media posts designed by myself and the rest of the group

Promotional content:

A huge part of the branding for Car Wash was promotional content that was consistent yet also eye catching. This content was going to be displayed on social media and on university campus' where there is already largely established events. We knew that our night was going to be different but how could we show the people of Bournemouth that without yet having an event to show them? That is why we branded the event the way we did. 80's themed, Oudlandish, exciting and most importantly... consistent.

Social activity:

Word of mouth played a vital role in the success of our brand strategy. However, having a strong social media presence was just as important. Given that the entire team were graphic designers we wanted our social platforms to be perceived in the best way possible. We opted for the 'rule of 3' when uploading, which loses slight impact upon posting due to the quantity, but makes up for it in brand image/identity.

Utilising print for social

It was also important to showcase how the print work would look (even before actually physically printing the collateral). We decided to create mockups of the items to help build suspense. There have been numerous nightclub events before and after Car Wash, what made Car Wash different was the unique ticketing items and designs. Coasters, and a series of different designs for each event almost made the items a collectors item.
