Aroma-Aide was a campaign for good that I helped launch as part of my final major project for university. It focused on the revolutionary and innovative suppression of hunger for those diagnosed with Prader willi Syndrome. The idea behind this was inspired by a family friend who has the condition.

Aroma-Aide:
Aroma-Aide is a new and inventive way of aiding those diagnosed with Prader Willi syndrome, it is a disability caused by a fault in a group of genes on chromosome number 15. This fault leads to a number of problems and is thought to affect part of the brain called the hypothalamus, which produces hormones and regulates growth and appetite. Prader Willi syndrome is an extremely complex condition to navigate and can be especially hard without assistance. This is where the new and innovative solution comes in. Aroma-Aide is a user centred product which aims to support hunger suppression in those requiring support.
Prototyping:
Prototyping was a vital part of the design process. Before user testing, it was imperative that the different elements of the solution combined correctly.
Once emulsified, focus shifted to designing the packaging for the product.

Collaboration:
Through rigorous prototyping and problem solving, the first
ever solution to aiding those with Prader Willi syndrome was created. Via the medium of graphic design we were able to make a dream reality. Funding for a project like this would be near impossible, which is why I came up with a hypothetical collaboration that one day could become a reality. These are known as essential oil diffuser necklace pendants, which would perfectly assist in emitting the fragrance made by Aroma-Aide.

App Design:
Another key feature to this project was creating an app that co-exists with the product. An app was needed to help control the emission of essential oils without the user knowing of its use, to avoid placebo or similar effects.
We designed, 5-6 pages and laid out their usage and how they would be best utilised. The app featured pages such as a dietary journal, exercise log and even a direct access panel to your diffusers. These features were primarily for the parent/guardians.
