Philippines Christmas
A unique celebration for the Philippines Christmas
This was a bespoke event curated by myself to celebrate the Philippines Christmas event. The event was to be held at the Hyatt Hotel on Thursday the 4th of December and required a specialised look and feel to help separate it from other internal Christmas events.

Background
The Philippines office for the firm wanted to reward staff for a great year following the historic merger. Given the timing, they opted for an extravagant Christmas event at the Hyatt hotel in Manilla.
I was entrusted with the responsibility of uniquely branding and stylising this year’s Christmas event. The goal was to craft a cohesive and distinctive visual identity that not only reflects the firm’s global sophistication and local character but also captures the spirit of celebration, unity, and gratitude that defines the holiday season. This project provided an opportunity to blend creativity with corporate identity. Delivering an event style that feels both authentically A&O Shearman and distinctly festive.
Due to the brands requirement to still use approved imagery, with approval I implemented an 'add on' style to the imagery. Expanding on already approved imagery with Christmas themed additives
Route 1
The first creative direction draws inspiration from the rich cultural heritage and heartfelt traditions that make Christmas in the Philippines truly unique. This route celebrates local artistry and craftsmanship by incorporating imagery and motifs rooted in Filipino identity, such as the parol (Christmas lantern), woven banig textures, native capiz patterns, and vibrant tropical foliage.
The visual language evokes warmth, togetherness, and the joy of community, which are key elements of how Filipinos celebrate the season. By sourcing imagery that highlights native materials, local festive decor, and familiar cultural symbols, this route creates a sense of authenticity and pride. It connects the firm’s celebration to the local context, honouring the Philippines’ enduring Christmas spirit while maintaining the elegance and sophistication expected of A&O Shearman’s brand.
Below is a collection of images I created/edited to represent this.

Headlines
I was also tasked with coming up with a creative and catchy title that could be used for the entire campaign. Due to the this route being focussed around the native Philippines, I thought it best the language reflect this.
A merry night in Manila
Filipino Festivites
Have a merry Manila christmas
Seasons greetings in the Philippines

Route 2
The second creative direction embraces the timeless elegance of a traditional Christmas. Drawing on the familiar symbols of the season. Although we do not have the rich reds and deep greens of Christmas in our brands colour palette. We do have an extensive set of accent colours. These were implemented onto festive ornaments. This route captures the warmth and nostalgia of classic holiday celebrations. The visual approach is refined yet inviting, echoing the sophistication of A&O Shearman while evoking the universal joy and comfort associated with this time of year. This concept focuses on creating an atmosphere of tradition, generosity, and festive spirit, offering a sense of familiarity and timeless charm that resonates across cultures.
Below is a selection of imagery I created to showcase this style.

Headlines
For this route's headline/language, I wanted it to be more representative of a 'hallmark' Thristmas. With nods to traditional and hearty sayings. I personally believe that headings such as these are just as important as the imagery or other aspects of a campaign. It helps evoke a sense of emotion in the viewer and can be be a sole decision maker between a good and great campaign.
The best present is your presence
